There is no resistance in using these under small mugs from Nicholas Mosse most of the time, but these little plates also look the part for presenting treats such as petites fours, chocolates, little cupcakes, and other delights. Some people use them for spoon rests, so there's no end to their usability and they are now available in all of the Lawn patterns.
