We were honoured to recently welcome Skye McAlpine into our showroom, where she designed and created an exclusive tablescape for us using some of her most loved pieces from Tavola, alongside some favourites from other brands of ours. With two outstanding cookbooks to her name, and her culinary expertise gracing the pages of prestigious publications like Vogue, The Daily Telegraph, and Vanity Fair, as well as a regular recipe column in The Sunday Times, Skye McAlpine isn’t just a food writer. She's a true entertainer, and her love for sharing her passion for food shines through all her creative endeavours.
Born in the heart of London, Skye moved with her family to Venice at the age of six, planning to stay for just a year. However, Venice has a way of capturing people’s hearts and three decades later, Skye still divides her time between London and the mesmerising canals of Venice. It is this unique blend of Venetian craft, the Italian dolce vita lifestyle, and a touch of British chintz that has served as the creative wellspring for her exquisite tabletop collection, Skye McAlpine Tavola.
For Skye, her fondest moments revolve around the dining table, where she relishes good food and the company of loved ones. It's the essence of life's celebrations—those cherished moments she seeks to elevate and savour more frequently.
