Engagement Story
We went to the Cotswolds for a weekend in the summer on our way back from a holiday in Salcombe with friends. Henry had designed a ring which was made by Emma Clarkson Webb. Henry took me completely by surprise and proposed at a pub on the river. The ring couldn't have been more perfect!
Wedding Theme & Inspiration
We chose lots of colour to create a whimsical and festival style wedding to fit with the garden setting.
Location
We got married in a beautiful church down the road in East Raynham in North Norfolk, followed by a reception, dinner and dancing in a marquee in my parents’ garden.
Wedding Marquee
We had a traditional pole marquee supplied by the wonderful Rudd Marquees. We wanted a really relaxed and informal wedding and this style of marquee was perfect for the garden setting. All of the sides were clear so we had amazing views and a beautiful sunset over Norfolk.
Wedding Décor
Everything was very colourful, whimsical and wild, to fit with the garden setting. We had long rustic wooden tables and chairs with tonnes of colourful flowers, candlesticks and napkins. My dad made a hexagonal bar out of palettes which was the focal point in the centre of the marquee. We had festoon lights draped from the ceiling to make the marquee more atmospheric. We also had lots of coloured lighting to illuminate the trees around the garden to create a festival feel.
Wedding Transport
Henry's best man very kindly lent us his blue convertible 1984 Mercedes-Benz so we could drive away in style from the church.
Wedding Flowers
One of the most important parts of our wedding! We spent a lot of time looking for a local florist as we wanted wild and seasonal flowers that looked like they were handpicked from the garden. We worked with the incredibly talented Hannah Hunnam who went above and beyond to create our floral vision. We choose a combination of bright and pastel coloured flowers in shades of pinks, blues and purples with lots of green foliage. She created a stunning wild meadow in the church which we then reused in front of the bar. The table centres were made up of varying sizes of recycled bottles with lots of seasonal flowers that spread the length of the tables. It looked absolutely incredible!
Bridal Fashion
My dress and veil were from Hermione De Paula. I loved all of the delicate detail especially the pink and green embroidery. It was my dream dress and perfect for our whimsical wedding. My shoes were gold heeled sandals that I have had for years. I wore a simple diamond necklace from Annoushka- and star earrings from Victoria Percival. In the evening, I wore a celestial gold headband which I found on Etsy.
Groom's Fashion
Henry wore traditional morning dress. He bought a new light blue linen waistcoat and houndstooth trousers from Oliver Brown and wore a navy tie from Hermes.
HAIR & MAKE UP
My hair and make up was done by James Webber who is Norfolk based. I had my hair up with lots of wild flowers to compliment my dress. I wanted very natural and relaxed make up and he did exactly that.
Bridesmaids, Flower Girls & Page Boys
I had six honorary bridesmaids, AKA 'Bridesmates' who are my best friends from school. I asked them all to wear floral dresses and they picked their own, brands included Reformation and Rixo. I had five flower girls who wore tutus in pink and green from Six Stories to match my dress and gold Supergas. They had personalised baskets filled with foliage which they carried down the aisle.
Wedding Catering
Florentina created the most amazing food for our wedding. Everyone still raves about it! We had lots of substantial canapés, all beautifully presented and then had sharing platters for main course and pudding to keep everything relaxed and informal. We had a big cheese station and sweet ladder for after dinner. The food tasting was one of the best bits of the planning.
Wedding Bar
We had lots of champagne, Aperol and rose. After dinner, we had espresso martinis and Moscow mules. We had a great blind champagne and wine tasting with both families.
WINE/COCKTAILS/OTHER DRINKS

Wedding Photography & Videography
Bizzy Arnott was our photographer and she captured our day perfectly, as well as being a delight to have around. We have worked together in the past so I felt really comfortable with her, despite hating having my photo taken
Wedding Music
We had The Earth Lights who were absolutely amazing. Spencer, the lead singer is a good friend of mine so there was no question about having anyone else. They were all dressed head to toe in sequins (my request!) and they kept the dance floor packed all night. Our first dance was 'You've Got The Love' by Florence and the Machine.
Wedding Planner
I am a wedding planner and have recently launched my own business, Events by Camilla so I planned everything myself. We then had a wedding planner, Zoe Knott run it for us on the day so we could completely relax.
Wedding Stationery
Our stationery was designed by a school friend and now my sister in law, Isabel and Ink. Izzy also did the calligraphy for our place names. All of the illustrations were created by Zoe Zahava. We all worked together very closely to create lots of personal touches to the stationery.
Wedding Advice
Have an on the day wedding planner to ensure everything runs smoothly and you can totally relax. I offer this as one of my wedding services and it is very popular!
