WPC Real Wedding: A Winter Wedding in Hampshire

WPC couple, Izzy and Ed, give us a sneak peek into their stunning Winter Wedding held in Hampshire. We are completely inspired by this classic winter wedding. There's something so romantic about a winter wedding, full of gorgeous soft lighting and cosy details.

The Handmade Wedding Dress

When choosing her wedding dress, Izzy turned to Belgravia based Stuart Parvin. The perfect designer for this classic wedding, Parvin's designs are understated and romantic and completely made to measure. All handmade in London these are timeless gowns to be treasured, and that couldn't be clearer to see from Izzy's stunning choice. Fitted at the waist with a full skirt, and a delicate lace overlay which was removed in the evening for dinner and dancing.

The Bridesmaids

Izzy chose a soft lavender grey for her bridesmaids, which were perfectly complemented by their seasonal bouquets, hand tied by florist Jeanie Hirsh

Something Old, Something New...

As her something new, Izzy enlisted top jewellery designed Emma Clarkson-Webb to help her design a stunning pair of bespoke diamond earrings. We love this idea, something that Izzy can cherish for years to come and one that will serve as a fabulous memory of her special day.

Izzy used a very special wedding car as her Something Old. The very same car used by her parents on their wedding day, and previously owned by Winston Churchill!

The Winter Theme Marquee

Lighting played a huge part in creating a soft and romantic atmosphere in their gorgeous marquee, we love the clear wall!

Sticking to a soft winter's theme, the couple chose wintry blues & greys topped with twinkling fairy lights to create a magical atmosphere in their marquee. SO romantic.

The Wedding Stationary

A trained graphic designer, Izzy designed all their wedding stationery herself. She has since gone on to set up Isabel & Ink - a modern calligraphy and graphic design agency.

The Wedding Favours

A little box of macaroons were the perfect sweet treat for their guests. We're not sure ours would have made it back from the wedding!

The Wedding Cake

The cake was a four tier masterpiece of traditional fruitcake for the top tier, salted caramel, carrot and black bottom cheesecake.

The Evening Look

A quick change for Izzy, we love how easy it was for her to transform her look by simply removing her lace bolero.

We are huge fans of a shoe change at a wedding, particularly if it means more time for dancing, and especially when they are as amazing as these customised Converse!

Thank you Mr & Mrs Birrell for sharing your wonderful wedding day with us, we hope you are enjoying your lovely presents!
